The Old Vicarage is a Grade II Listed 17th Century building, that unfortunately suffered from significant damage, due to a series of burst pipes within the roof space.
We were employed to act as Contract Administrator for the stripout and reinstatement of the building, to bring it back to its former glory, as part of an insurance claim.
Initially we liaised with contractors to remove the damaged sections of the building, and get a sympathetic drying regime underway, following which a detailed Schedule of Works was completed, and issued to our list of Approved Contractors, for competitive pricing.
While the project was out to tender, we prepared drawings, details and associated documentation to gain Listed Building Consent for the works.
Once a contractor had been appointed, we made regular visits in order to oversee the works, answer site queries, and report back to the owner, with updates.
The contract was completed within the expected time period, on budget, and to a very high standard, with all parties happy with the results.
We have since worked on a number of projects for the owners, including roofing works, damp control and a new porch.
